Manchester City lay down a challenge to all their loan players who depart at the start of every season.

The Citizens are known for sending younger players to sister clubs within the City Football Group and to outside teams.

Liam Delap is one who has been on such a journey, as he is now on loan at Hull City in the Championship.

"We're in contact quite a lot," Delap said of his parent club, per the Manchester Evening News.

"The way it's run is very good. They have a department that's really good at helping us, no matter what we need.

"That always gives us someone else to go to. When you come on loan, it's a different type of experience and it's a nice feeling, they do help us a lot.

"As you can see, they've been the best team in the world for the last four or five years. That competition is the hardest, so as young boys - there's a lot out on loan - we've all got to do our best, go out and give 100 percent and let our feet do the talking and see where we get to."
