'I think of' – Estêvão Willian breaks silence on Chelsea transfer move reports

Chelsea transfer target Estevao Willian has broken his silence on his reported move to Chelsea after it was claimed he had agreed personal terms to join the club earlier this week.

It’s been a highly spoke about transfer deal that Chelsea are trying to get done, seemingly trying to get ahead of any competition by doing it as quickly as possible.

It looks like they just need to agree the fee now with his club to get this one over the line, but Willian himself has been very coy on the move in his latest comments last night.

He said: “Speculations? Chelsea? My head today is 100% focused on Palmeiras. I don’t think of these things, they’re secondary. I think of helping Palmeiras and trying my hardest to bring them glory.”

This is a coy yet very smart response from the young player. Often you will see these moves break down at the last minute, so even though Chelsea are confident of getting it over the line, it is never done until it is announced by either club or the player. So it is smart for Willian to play it down for now and concentrate on playing for his current club. It’s also respectful to the fans of the club he is still playing for.

Let’s hope this one gets done soon and doesn’t turn into another Chelsea transfer saga, something we have all grown used to and probably gotten quite sick of in recent times. We will probably have enough Chelsea transfer sagas to be reporting on this summer for the first team without having them for teenage signings for the future as well!

Whether you love transfer season or hate it, there is always an element of drama surrounding it when Chelsea are concerned, and I think we need to strap ourselves in again ready for this summer!
