Inter Milan won the Supercoppa Italiana for the third year in a row by beating Napoli 1-0 in Monday's final in Saudi Arabia.

Lautaro Martinez scored the only goal of the game in second-half added time when he slammed home a low shot from seven yards after being set up by Benjamin Pavard.

Napoli had been playing with 10 men since the hour-mark when Giovanni Simeone was sent off after receiving two quick-fire yellow cards.

Martinez has now scored in three consecutive Supercoppa finals.

Inter's victory over Napoli came three days after Simone Inzaghi's side beat Lazio 3-0 in their semi-final.

Napoli overcame Fiorentina 3-0 in the other semi.

Inter have now won the Supercoppa Italiana eight times. Only nine-time winners Juve have won the tournament on more occasions.
