Lazio winger Felipe Anderson revealed the painful injury suffered during the Coppa Italia win over Juventus, showing the reality behind on-pitch collisions.

The 31-year-old Brazilian forward played 61 minutes of the Biancocelesti’s 2-1 win over the Old Lady at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday evening, putting in a decent shift before he was replaced by Matias Vecino on the hour mark.

Lazio may have taken victory over Juventus in the second leg, but it wasn’t enough to undo the damage of the first leg as they crashed out of the Coppa Italia semi-final 3-2 on aggregate. Despite that, it was a positive performance from Igor Tudor’s side, giving them things to build from.

As highlighted by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Felipe Anderson suffered a painful injury to his foot in the first half of the clash with Juventus after a collision with Alex Sandro, an issue that ultimately forced him off in the 61st minute.

Photos of the injury, one of which can be seen below, reveal the serious nature of incidents that initially appear to be minor, causing a stir amongst some fans on social media.
