Spanish giants Real Madrid are in a world of mess and could be forced to let go some of their stars this summer in a bid to balance the books. President Florentino Perez was the driving force behind the disgraced European Super League and amid the collapse of it, the 13-time Champions League winners are in financial troubles.

With debt soaring to €1bn, the club cannot afford to let their players leave on free transfers and Manchester United are reportedly ready to capitalise on the situation.

Raphael Varane has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford and the France defender infamously rejected a move to United in 2011, opting to join Jose Mourinho at the Santiago Bernabeu instead.

Marcus Rashford teased fans earlier this week and according to El Chiringuito, Manchester United are one of two Premier League clubs to have made an offer to sign the 27-year-old.

The Spanish transfer show suggests that Chelsea have joined Solskjær’s side in making offers for Varane and that Real Madrid are holding out for €60m, despite the player being free to speak to other clubs in just six months time.

One journalist on the panel even goes as far to say that Varane will leave Real Madrid this summer, despite ongoing negotiations over a contract extension.
