Exams undergone by Alessandro Florenzi have ruled out a muscle injury, but the Italian full-back will miss the upcoming Coppa Italia game against Atalanta, while Marco Sportiello trained with the rest of the team today.

Florenzi was subbed off as a precautionary measure in the first half of Sunday’s 3-0 win over Empoli at the Stadio Castellani Computer Gross Arena.

The Rossoneri confirmed on Monday afternoon that the experienced full-back has not suffered a lesion and has been diagnosed with an overload of his left adductor. Sky Sport Italia says that Florenzi will miss Wednesday’s Coppa Italia quarter-final tie with Atalanta but will be back against Roma on Sunday night.

More good news came from Milanello where Sportiello completed an entire training session with the team on Monday morning. The Italian goalkeeper could be called up against his former club, Atalanta, midweek.

Lastly, Noah Okafor trained separately, but according to Sky Sport Italia (via Pianeta Milan), the Swiss striker could be available against Roma
