Milan will take their time to find a second man to add to their defense, and, on top of Lilian Brassier, they tested the waters for Tanguy Nianzou, who’s currently playing at Sevilla. The PSG product transferred to Andalusia for €16M after spending a couple of seasons at Bayern Munich.

According to Sky, the Rossoneri see him as a quality prospect due to his all-around skillset and ability to play as a holding midfielder in a pinch. He hasn’t starred much this season, logging just 7 appearances for a total of 239 minutes. He has dealt with multiple thigh injuries.

Besides eyeing Brassier and Nianzou, Milan are still contemplating a big move in the role. They have been bested by Tottenham for Radu Dragusin. Their other top-tier target is Alessandro Buongiorno. He’s lingering into their crosshairs because Torino are keen on Lorenzo Colombo. However, the two sides aren’t actively negotiating currently.

The Rossoneri might soon expand their wish list to extra-EU players. Their rumored acquisition of Matija Popovic might fall through over some last-minute problems with his entourage.

Our Take on Milan, Nianzou, and Buongiorno

Given their ever-packed infirmary, they should steer clear of injury-prone players. The deal with Torino has better chances of happening in the summer, as the Granata can actually go places this season. However, he might be destined to leave Italy too if his price tag keeps increasing thanks to his stellar displays.
