Milan Tipped to Stop Chasing Long-Time Bosman Target

Juan Miranda has long been expected to join Milan in a Bosman move, but things might have changed in recent weeks. The Rossoneri refused to pay a small fee to onboard him in January. The talks with his camp ahead of a summer switch are stalling too, Estadio Deportivo informs.

The Italian club is evaluating younger options with smaller wages. The parties also never reached an agreement regarding the commissions.

Milan turned down the option of signing Miranda for about €4M during the present transfer session. Instead, they acquired Filippo Terracciano from Hellas Verona, who was playing in that role in his final Verona games, for €4.5M. The Rossoneri also broke in youngster Alex Jimenez, who has held his own.

According to the Spanish publication, Real Sociedad have begun tracking the fullback with conviction. Real Betis never abandoned hopes of re-upping with him. He has been featuring regularly despite his uncertain future.

If they were so keen as rumored, they probably would have acquired him instead of Terracciano in a time of absolute need and with Theo Hernandez doing well as an adapted center-back. Despite his fee, the former Verona youngster will likely still be less expensive in the long haul due to his inferior salary. Plus, he helps them with the lists since he was grown in Italy. Jimenez might be a factor too. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Bosman acquisition collapsed altogether.
