Southampton boss Ruben Selles says he's happy leaning on Moi Elyounoussi.

With potentially more mercurial talents such as Joe Aribo and Samuel Edozie not afforded opportunities, sections of the Saints fanbase have grown frustrated with Elyounoussi.

But speaking ahead of Saturday's clash with Spurs, Selles explained why he keeps choosing the 28-year-old.

"I think Moi is reliability. For everybody. I know his position as a ten on the left or the right, I think he's a player who will do everything to play the position. I'm very pleased with his performance.

"At Brentford we used him as a ten on the right side, moving a lot into the red zone, making penetrations, also a player who can defend and attack set plays and in pressure is one of the boys we know is best in every single moment of the pressure.

"So with Moi I have no doubts when I need to bring him onto the pitch."
