Watch: Toni Rudiger talks through his emotions on “tough” day

They say that you only know what you’ve got when it’s gone, and it’s certainly the case that it’s only since Antonio Rudiger confirmed he was leaving the club that we realised how much we would miss him.

He spoke to Chelsea TV after the game yesterday and explained how “tough” a decision it was and how much he wanted to “thank” the fans who had supported him and gave him a great send off yesterday.

His manager took him off before the end so he could be applauded by the crowd, in a lovely moment that was the highlight of the day.
