Wait, MARAT SAFIN BEAT NoDjo????

Besides the fact that I had NoDjo losing to Rafa in the Finals, I definitely only had Safin goin to the 2nd round. I'm speechless. With a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 beating, Djokovic came close in the 2nd, but had no chance in the 3rd. Safin's new coach, Hernan Gumi, seems to be transforming his life. Marat's been training hard, and even gets angry during practice sessions, which means he CARES. You think he cares enough to make it deep into the draw or is this still erratic Marat?

Marat has a favorable draw, and a game for tennis. I never understood why he didn't do better at Wimbledon. His game seems to be suited perfectly for the surface: he moves well, he can serve big, he has a great return of serve, he's an amazing athlete all around AND he's able to improvise, he has a flair for the dramatic... I'd love to see him reach the semis, partially because it'd be great to have him back as a contender, and partially because I think his sister will reach the semi's too...
