I don't know about the rest of you out there, but I am really starting to like how our draft is developing. We're locking up some great prospects at all of our positions of need and acquiring picks along the way, GO EAGLES!

Reading this article on PE.com and then reading this post (http://yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/The_Eagles_front_office_Must_Read/246627) on YB.com left me wondering what you Eagles fans out there would want most from next weekend's draft:

A big time trade for a #1 WR (i.e Ocho) or a dominating draft class (such as our class of '02)?

Getting both isn't realistic and the more I read about/watch film on the players in this year's draft class, the more I am looking forward to the latter. I am basing this on the fact that the Eagles have proven in years past that they can pull a slam dunk in the draft.

My opinion: the best way for our team to move forward in the NFC is to acquire as much of the talent as we can this year on both sides of the ball and make our team a more complete package.

Good read on McNabb's offseason. Most of us know how seriously he takes his conditioning, looks like he stepped it up a bit this year. I'm looking forward to a beast year from you DM5, keep it up.

It's an old link, but after reading TommyTheCat's blog I suddenly became a lot more interested in the details of Westbrook's contract situation. This article sums it up nicely, Westbrook is due. Good looks Tommy.

I ask the question because I know that after a slow season last year, there are certain Eagles fans that are left doubting that Reggie will develop into a consistent threat on the outside.

Brown is a work in progress and at times has shown some serious talent (October 15, 2006, 60 YD TD Pass (@NO), DM5 to Brown and November 11, 2007 45 YD TD Pass (@WAS), DM5 to Brown to name a couple). The latter is pictured below. I was at that game, in the nosebleeds behind that endzone and will always remember the move Reggie made to grab that pass, it was unbelievable. And the former was just a sick play, it was after this play that I became a true Reggie Brown fan. I can def see Donovan and Reggie working hard this offseason to connect with this big play ability more often.

Even though Brown's development and his success has been slow and inconsistent (respectively) I am still optimistic about the future he and DM5 have. As optimistic as I am, there is still a need for a WR on our team. Whether it be a true #1 (unlikely) or a big WR in the draft, I think those are the two types of WR we need to improve our current group.

To summarize, this is just my opinion and an attempt to give you Eagles fans out there some reason to look forward to another season with Reggie Brown as our #1.

As much as I would enjoy getting a top talent WR in exchange for Lito, I just can't see giving up on our man just yet. At least give us Iggle fans a chance to see how he and Samuel compliment eachother. Move Sheldon to SS alongside Dawk, this is just as much of a dream for me as getting Fitz is, except this dream is partially a reality while the Phitz idea is nothing but rumors.
