Vick Jersey Used as Pooper Scooper by Atlanta Humane Society

That dog has to feel vindicated now....or angry because it can't chew on its poop because it was already picked up by someone carrying a huge piece of nylon.

Is It Lima Time In Philadelphia?

"The Philadelphia Phillies are just 14 games away from becoming the first team in professional sports history to lose 10,000 games."

So if the Phillies want to celebrate this achievement in style, then yes, IT'S LIMA TIME! BELIEV DAT!

GoFish Kicks-Off Mixed Martial Arts Network, MMA Today

MMA Today will launch on June 7th with Bas Rutten mugging it up on a regular basis. The online video station will have interviews, training sessions and archived fight footage.

The details are still a little fuzzy on what MMA Today actually is, but no complaints here on a new MMA outlet.

Herminator goes HBO

The Kansas City Chiefs will be the featured team on HBO's Hard Knocks this year. The training camp documentary is set to air in August. The Chiefs are one of the most boring teams in the league, but Herm should be good for a few quality moments all by himself. Filming doesn't start for several weeks, but it would be interesting to see the HBO cameras rolling with the Trent Green saga still unfolding.

Socko Energy Drinks

Remember how jealous you got when a wrestler got ManKind's sweaty sock stuffed inside their mouth. Well, now the WWE has bottled that into an energy drink. Damn, I'm thirsty!

Julius on Parcells: "He had me running like a robot"

Quite the take from Julius Jones. It was no secret Parcells favored Marion Barber over Jones. Fans knew it and obviously Jones knew it too. I don't have predictions on what Julius Jones' 2007 season will look like, but my guess is that he gets every opportunity in camp to establish himself as the featured back in Dallas, something Parcells wasn't all that interested in.

Jean Strahan is a Colossal Bitch

" Michael Strahan's ex-wife Jean continues to be an absolutely terrible human being, selling off her husband's former belongings on the cheap at a garage sale held at her (formerly their) $3.6 million mansion."

I'm never getting married.

Joe Thomas and the Bucs: Why isn't this being talked about?

While everyone has been drooling over Jamarcus Russell and Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas has been moving up and down everyone's draft board, having been linked to most teams with high 1st rounders. When you have a top 10 draft pick, left tackle is usually a need. The Bucs are no different, but things have been relatively quiet on the team's Joe Thomas front. Smokescreens or is Jon Gruden really that in love with Calvin Johnson? Doesn't he want to protect his 7 QB's? The Best Bucs Blog discusses.

Don't you Hate Pants? The Vikings Do.

Just another day in the NFL and Vikings land. Cornerback Cedrick Griffin was maced in the face and arrested.

"Two witnesses told KSTP-TV that the Vikings cornerback was thrown out of the Spin nightclub for not pulling up his pants. The club has a dress code requiring that pants not sag below the waist."

I know saggy pants are in, but it's not worth taking pepperspray to the face for. C'mon fellas.

The Nationals are Honestly that Bad

Dimitri Young is their cleanup hitter and the pitching staff has given up 42 runs in 6 games. You know it's going to be a really long season when fans are already photoshopping funny pictures documenting their suckiness. Click through.

Giant Goose Egg: Peavy dominates

Padres pitchers threw just 50 balls in 142 total pitches, allowing only seven singles and two walks while striking out eight.

The Giants aren't an offensive juggarnaut, but you have to like the Padres pitching staff heading into 2007. Peavy, who struggled at times during 2006, looks healthy and poised to be one of, if not the best pitcher in the NL. They have one of the strongest starting rotations and bullpens in the National League, not to mention Hells Bells in the ninth. It's just one game, but I think I'm going to like what I see from SD this season.

Schilling on Blogging

I hope more athletes start thinking like Curt Schilling. He gets what blogging is all about.

"There is the potential to change the way people get their news. Fast-forward this to Opening Day. It's a 2 p.m. game, hopefully I'll pitch great and we'll win. Sometime around 7 or 8 o'clock that night I'll sit down -- I'm on the road, I'm by myself -- I'll blog out the game, pitch-by-pitch in some instances, inning-by-inning, I'll go into minutia ... By 9 o'clock that night I'll have a post up. ... Those people will know about things they could never read about [in the newspapers], 12 hours before the newspapers ever come out."

Bengals/Ravens Open 2007 on MNF

The game will be played in Cincinnati, marking the first home opener for the Bengals since Marvin Lewis' first season as Bengals Head Coach. It should be a good one.

Nascar Draws Better Ratings than "NBA on ABC"

It's happening. Nascar is beginning it's assault on the major sports. NBA ratings are down accross the board, not only on ABC, but TNT also.

"Ratings for the 12 NBA games on ABC this season are averaging 2.1, or 9% off the record-low pace of 2.3 set last year. "NBA on ABC" games have turned in 5% lower average ratings than the two NASCAR Busch Series auto races shown on ABC this season. NASCAR Nextel Cup race ratings are 243% higher than the NBA games on ABC. NBA ratings are down 9% on TNT this season compared to last season, and are flat on ESPN."

So does the NBA suck or is Nascar finally captivating that major sports audience (MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL)?
