An early Christmas gift

Nothing has been made official yet, but the word is that UFC 90 will be held in Chicago in late October. UFC 89 is already set for October 18th in London and it is thought that the Chicago event could be held the following weekend, October 25th.

Is Anderson Silva taking on too much?

Anderson Silva is widely considered one of the best fighters in the world. Most people consider him the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Silva is currently preparing to step-up in weight classes and try his luck in the light-heavyweight division while simultaneously defending his middleweight title. Is fighting in two weight classes for Silva too much and will it ultimately result in his downfall?

CC Sabathia is a Milwaukee Brewer

Yes, Brewers fans, celebrate the night away! CC Sabathia is now a Milwaukee Brewer pending paperwork and an exchange of medical records. Sabathia is expected to start his first game for the Brewers on Tuesday night versus the Rockies.

A new King in the UFC

When Dana White and the UFC created The Ultimate Fighter reality television series, they could only dream that one of the fighters that won the show would one day being a World Champion for the organization. Matt Serra fought on the show, won it and eventually won a title, but Forrest Griffin became the first true competitor from the show to achieve World Champion status.

Brewers walk-off on a beautiful Saturday night

Dave Bush pitched his second consecutive gem at Miller Park on Saturday night in a 2-1 Brewers win. Bush went eight innings giving up only one run on four hits while striking out seven. He took a no-decision but he has now made back-to-back starts at Miller Park going eight innings and giving up only a single run.

Brewers bats pound Pirates and the latest on CC

The Brewers offense provided a ton of fireworks in a 9-1 win over the Pirates on Friday. The bats are on fire and it appears the talk of acquiring CC Sabathia has sparked the team.

Ben Sheets pitched 5 2/3 innings and only gave up one run to pick up his tenth win of the season. His record improved to 10-2 on the season and he lowered his ERA to 2.77. Sheets struck out six and walked three. He seems to have had some control problems over the last month but hopefully it's something he can work out in his next few starts.

Sabathia to the Brewers almost a reality

I can't believe the course of events that are taking place, but it appears that CC Sabathia is going to be a Brewer. The only thing that is crazier than that is that it may happen before the end of the weekend.

The Indians have been scouting the Brewers Minor League system and they may be ready to unload the reigning Cy Young winner. Names that keep popping up going to Cleveland in return for Sabathia are Matt LaPorta, Taylor Green and Alcides Escobar.

Previewing UFC 86: Forrest Griffin vs. Rampage Jackson

Forrest Griffin and Rampage Jackson are set to face off on Saturday night for the UFC Light-heavyweight title, but there is one thing that stands out about this match-up: unlike most fights lately, there isn't very much trash talk going on between the two men. This fight doesn't need it. Griffin and Jackson are two of the most popular fighters in the UFC and two of the most straight-forward fighters you will find. Unlike most fighters, Griffin is willing to concede is faults and where he is still lacking as a fighter. Jackson is pure entertainment and may cut the best interviews in all of MMA.

Thiago Alves vs. Diego Sanchez at UFC 89

Thiago Alves and Diego Sanchez are set to face off at UFC 89 on October 18th in England. The fight could serve as a number one contender fight and the winner could face the winner of the Georges St-Pierre- Jon Fitch fight.

The fight that should have been made for UFC 88

UFC 88 is set to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 6th. and so far it's shaping up to be a great night of fights. There are several big names on the card and the show will have a main event of Chuck Liddell taking on Rashad Evans. There is one fight that isn't on the card but should be. Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin are both on the card but should be squaring off against each other.

Bucks happy Elton Brand opts out

Milwaukee Bucks players, management and fans should all be ecstatic over the news of Elton Brand opting out of his contract with the L.A. Clippers. Of course, it's not for the reason you may think.

Elton Brand is a very good player and puts up great numbers as a power forward but he would be a bad fit with the Bucks. Michael Redd, Richard Jefferson and Andrew Bogut will be taking the majority of shots on the offensive end of the floor and that wouldn't sit well with Brand.

Fedor is a Fraud - Part Two

After the response and all the love I got from people, I couldn't possibly stay away and not have some sort of response to all of you Fedor lovers out there. To those that emailed me and stated their displeasure and corrected my error, I thank you. To those that are so childish over an internet article about an MMA fighter, well, get over it.

Dave Bush flashes back to old form, Brewers lose

Monday night in Phoenix, Dave Bush reverted back to his early season form and struggled on the mound. Bush gave up five runs on nine hits in only five innings of work in a 6-3 Brewers loss to the Diamondbacks. Bush fell to 4-8 on the season.

Joe Daddy on the comeback trail

Joe Stevenson had the opportunity of a lifetime when he faced BJ Penn at UFC 80 for the vacant UFC Lightweight title in January. He promptly got beaten by Penn in less than two rounds. It wasn't that Stevenson got beat, but he got absolutely manhandled and was a bloody mess by the end of the fight. Penn's elbows cut up Stevenson and he tapped out to Penn's rear naked choke at 4:02 of the second round.

Fedor is a Fraud

Fedor Emelianenko is a fraud. Yep, I said it. Now I'm sure I will get a ton of hate mail that will tell me that I don't know anything about MMA and well, that's just laughable. Is it a bit harsh to say Fedor is a fraud? Absolutely, but if you look at who he has fought the past few years it's almost a joke.
