Best Father-Son Combo's Off All-Time

As Ken Griffey Jr. and Barry Bonds play out what appears to be their final years in baseball I'm reminded of the all-time greatest father-son duo's to ever suit up.

The obvious one's are the Bond's, Griffey's and the Manning's, but over time there have been many more than just three families to grace the record books.

Without further adieu here's the list in order of greatness.

MLB: As Division Races Heat Up...Which Teams Will Fade?

As the start of the second half of the Major League Baseball season is only five days old, several teams have pulled close to their division rivals. But as history tells us, most teams will fade as the season ends...which team will that be?

As we start in the American League, two of the three division races are tighter than Joan River's face and damn near as frightening.

NBA Eastern Conference: Just How Good Are The New Jersey Nets?

The NBA offseason is a time spent by front offices', looking to find new ways and players to upgrade their respective teams.

Nets President Rod Thorn has kept himself occupied.

The busiest team in the East this offseason, other than the Miami Heat, has been the New Jersey Nets.

MLB: Mets-Phillies Race Heating Up

Don't look now but the streaking New York Mets have not only climbed back in to the National League East pennant race, but have forged a tie with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The slumping Phillies now have a three game set with the Mets starting Tuesday with first place on the line. Philadelphia has been fading fast as they have lost 20 of their last 34 games.

Every week, I take a look back at the major events of every show and bring to you the fans a condensed look at the highs and lows of the week.

So with that said, let's get started with The Week That Was.

NBA Summer League: Bucks Blow Past Nuggets

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Denver Nuggets 79-67 Thursday Night, thanks to a horrendous 2nd quarter by Denver, in which they only managed to score 7 points.

Ramon Sessions and Roderick Wimont had 13 to lead Milwaukee, while rookies Joe Alexander and Luc Richard Mbah A Moute, both had 10 points towards the Bucks' 2nd win of the Summer League.

Why Manny Being Manny Doesn't Bother Me...Usually

I have always wondered what other people thought about Manny Ramirez. Do other baseball fans think of him the same way I do? What is the opinion of general sporting fans on his antics?

My opinion of the world-renowned athlete goes something like this:

Rated R For Repulsive: My Boneheads of the Week

With the week almost over, I've been scanning and surfing through this atrocity known as the Internet to find the people who have done something so stupid that it warrants a permit to be that off the wall.

After careful deliberation with several people, these seven entities have earned the title of Boneheads of the Week.

And man, have they earned it!

Minnesota Twins: The Beltre Trade, Part Two

I've decided to make this a three part series because I felt the urge to tweak the three-team trade between the Seattle Mariners, Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Twins. It is still not perfect, so I am free to suggestions and criticism. Tell me what you think:Minnesota gets:

Josh Smith and Emeka Okafor Among Players Expected to Change Teams

This off-season has been a star-studded event more so than any other off-season in recent memory. You have guys that are perennial All-Stars and home town favorites moving. Who would have expected Baron Davis to be moving before the off-season started? I certainly couldn't imagine him in any other uniform besides the Warriors, but all of a sudden he is wearing Clipper red and hoping to play well in the revamped team.

NFL Season Preview: New York Jets

The Jets have been spending the past few months trying to fit a three-year rebuilding mode into just one offseason.

Last season, they were one of the laughing-stocks of the NFL, but they made plenty of moves to improve their team.

They bolstered their offensive line in free agency and helped their defense in the draft.

So what is all the help going to bring them for next season?

MLB: Breaking Down A Possible Twins Trade for Beltre Part One

After discussing things over with Twinkie Town's Jesse Lund we came to the conclusion that a three-team trade would work the best. The only question that remained was which third team Seattle and Minnesota would deal with.

After hours of research I have come up with what I think are two of the more likely possibilities. The first of which involves the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Here is the groundwork of the possible trade:

Clippers Acquire Marcus Camby

The Los Angeles Clippers made a move to help sure up their front line after the loss of Elton Brand to the Sixers just a few days ago. They made a trade with the Denver Nuggets to acquire Marcus Camby, a defensive guru at center, for only the option for the Nuggets to swap second round picks in 2010.

MLB: As Trade Deadline Nears Twins Eye Adrian Beltre

First off, a hearty congratulations to Justin Morneau for winning the Home Run Derby. I normally do not watch things like this, but I was forced to check up on it every once in a while.

The obvious storyline is Josh Hamilton and his record-breaking 28 home runs in the first round, but Morneau showed great consistency and eventually beat out the slugger.

While I do think Morneau deserves the honor of the award, I think the story of the night belongs to Hamilton.

In this third and final installment of how I would go about "fixing" the Twins, I will address the hole at third base.
