I can't tell you how gratifying it as an owner to have spent over $30 on
Todd Helton only to have him net me 11 HRS, 51 RBI, and 55 runs. And if those digits aren't average enough, his .288 BA, while not terrible by MLB standards, is the lowest he's produced since his rookie year and certainly not worth paying what I paid for him. Thanks for absolutely nothing Todd. I could have gotten those numbers from
Sean Casey for a fraction of the cost.
But in a somewhat unrelated note, there was this headline that is currently on ESPN's homepage that was good for a two second chuckle:
"Cirillo suggests soggy balls lower Coors Field offense "
I wonder if Cirillo suffered from soggy balls in Seattle as well where he was one of the bigger free agent busts of all time just a few years back.
