So by now yuo've heard that the BCS crew did absolutely nothing and guaranteed we will not see a playoff. No big surprise, they are making too much money to mess around with the system.

Since fans will never stop watching and attending bowl games in a show of solidarity and support for a real playoff system, I have a new idea.

How about all seniors and underclassmen declaring for the draft refuse to play in bowl games. If they care about their sport and the integrity of the game they way I did when I played sports competitively, they would be happy to walk away from one game.

This only has to happen once to show the BCS the current system is unacceptable and they will change the process. Anyone already on their way out of school has nothing to lose.

The lack of a legitimate national champion is as big a problem for me as the unregulated use of steroids in professional sports. Both reduce sport to a less than honest endeavor and make it nothing but mere entertainment.

Is it good enough for a division 1A or professional athlete to be on the same level as a WWE wrestler? I say no, I hope they agree.

Steve Berra and Eric Koston's Web site—theberrics.com—is a site dedicated to skateboarding, and they are looking for a Filmer/Digital Content Manager. The Filmer is responsible for filming (of course) and editing footage and must have experience with Final Cut Pro.

***YOU MUST BE AN EXPERIENCED "SKATEBOARDER" to get this position because the filmers biggest priority will be to film at the park.

It's where every big gun in skateboarding goes to prepare themselves for the streets. Eric and Steve have opened the optical doors to the park so that all the kids can see what the pros do on a daily basis--a dream can come true.

Responsibilities:

- Managing video content

- Editing short film pieces for multi-platform digital distribution

99% of them appear to be selected by jerks who are looking to get lucky and sell for a profit. This is nothing new, and it is certainly not unique to skateboarding, but it is depressing none the less because there are so many potential domain names that will never be used.

Our sport currently has very few good websites worth viewing and lags behind other sports with equal amounts of participants because corporations are not putting the same money into their online presence.

The cybersquatters are basically taking the most common terms people want to type in and holdign them hostage from our sport. The kid who wants to build an awesome website will build it with some crazy name no one will ever type in. The small business who wants to do the same may walk away from the idea because the domain name they want is taken or being held hostage for a ridiculous amount of money.

Maybe someone out there can tell me where capitalism and the nuturing of growing cultures can coexist in this world.

So who says we need to link to a blog or article all the time?
