I agree with Brett Favre; after an amazing 17 year complete career, I would "do nothing", not move to the booth or golf. He is a remarkably admirable person.

Imagine if the Detroit Pistons had drafted Dwyane Wade instead of Darko Milicic.

All-World Freshman Eric Gordon has Dwayne Wade potential. Both are 6'4, 215-pound shooting guards with relentless explosiveness when in pursuit of the rim. And, Gordon is a natural shooter with endless range. He is a bonda fide top 2 pick in this year's draft.

But as an ardent Money Ball supporter, its a bit troubling to see John Hollinger's proprietary evaluation of Gordon: Indiana's Eric Gordon also scored far worse than expected (439), partly because the formula wonders how athletic a 6-5 guy can be when he has had only eight offensive rebounds all season, and partly because his other numbers are nice but hardly special.

Buy: CBS previously had a deal with ProElite to air live mixed martial arts events on Showtime in 2007. Viewership must have been positive enough to warrant a broader distribution agreement. Prime time Saturday night is ideal for the intended demo; pre-gaming with free MMA in pristine HD is a dream scenario for males aged 21 - 35 (well, almost dream). Plus, Marriotti got the PPV estimates for UFC wrong by an order of magnitude (70K vs. 700K actual)! As I said back in December : "Mixed martial arts is going to be the second biggest sport worldwide by 2013". And any free, high-quality national broadcasts will help grow the sport.

There is an interesting rivalry emerging between The UFC's Dana White and Elite XC's Gary Shaw. More on that later.
