What is this guy thinking? Tyler Hanbrough announced that he will remain at UNC so he can play out his full 4 years of collegiate basketball. Why? Two reasons he should go to the Association. 1, his stock will never be any higher than right now. 2, his boys Ellington and Lawson are out. Guess Tyler likes getting no calls and falling short of the NCAA Finals. To each his own.

No link here. Just watching the Padres/Giants game, and something loco just took place (or is taking place, your choice). Greg Maddox himself, the GOD of pitching, is in to pinch run for Tony Clark.

The Seattle Seahawks released the aging RB Shaun Alexander. Not that I could run in the NFL, let alone be a RB, but there will forever be ill thoughts in regards to Alexander. Since he won the MVP two years ago and hooked up a $62 million contract, the back ran soft, flopped in holes and failed to find the end zone.

The Braves may have lost, but future HOF pitcher John SMoltz picked up (or sat down) his 3,000 hitter. The lucky player to get his name in the Hall for striking out, Felipe Lopez. Smolts becomes the 16th pitcher to reach 3,000 ks.

The Angels moved into a tie for 1st in the west with the Oakland As with their 7-4 road win over the Texas Rangers. I know it is early, but with Lackey and Escobar being out, it is nice to see the Angels bats carry the team. We know that was not the staus quo from last year.

Ken Davis, who took the Drake basketball team to a top 25 ranking, moved on to Providence. The AP Coach of The Year compiled 28 wins this year and took Drake to its first tournament appearance since 1971.

Could not link the video for some reason, but you have got to see the video of some guy who fills out a job application with his real name and then robs the place. Oh, he left the application. Idiot.

The Indians decided to spend $15 million on Fausto Carmona to keep him in Cleveland for the next four years. This deal could work out to be in the area of $48 million. What does this mean for CC Sabathia. Sabathia is a free agent next year and turned down an offer by the club in the spring. he would look great in an Angels uniform.

So not a week away from winning the National Championship, Kansas B-Ball coach Bill Self has officially said no to Oklahoma State. His reasoning, "Home called," "And we love home. But this is home now." What? Lets give him a few more days here. We can all name a few coaches who have said one thing and done another, right?
