i think the evolution of women's basketball is taking shape. You already have 6-5 guards in their league (that used to be the size of their centers), and dunking. Now we have brawls. Pretty soon their games will actually start to matter. I see a nice trend developing.

You guys are worrying about how girls dont get in good fight.....maybe you missed the fact that Rick Mahorn pulled Llisa Leslie out of the group and pushed her to the ground. That's my biggest concern.

Woodsey, I was waiting for somebody to say something... Did you not see Leslie go over and try and get to the fight? Looked like she was about to do something, then Mahorn got her away, because she didnt need to be in the middle of it. He was trying to keep his distance so she would not punch him in the face, especially knowing he couldnt do anything about it. Then that thug of a player came up and tried to hit him in the back of the head? REally? Congrats girls you got your 3 minutes of fame. Back to the cellar.

Hmmm...not sure what to think about all of that since it's hard to tell what's going on from the video. All I know is that if I was in there, somebody would be going DOWN.

Of all the people involved, I think Candace P.'s actions were not as important... you can't throw someone out of a game for defending theirself because its not right. Something should have been done when Pearson yanked the ball from Parker at the other end when the play was already over. From the very beginning this game was physical and rough because of the rivalry issue. The coaches for Detroit cursing Coooper and the Sparks out didn't have that good of an impact on all of the players for each team either. Lambieer also called Shannon Bobbit a midget! How mean and horrible is that!

The Palace is a magnet for brawls for whatever reason!! Going back to Bad Boy Pistons of the late 80s/early 90s when Barkley fought Laimbeer. Mahorn was Barkley's teammate then too.....
