PS : I'm okey, it's high time you came home, you really need to suntan !!! ;)

Whoah....3 out of 3 possible championships under your belt. Isn't that some sort of record? As for an Obama/Charles ticket...well now! You never know.

I was honestly thinking just this morning "I wonder if Diana Taurasi still has her blog going".. this is awesome, post more!

Congratulations on the championship! :)

Buena suerte por la próxima temporada. No obstante, tengo que compartir este poema que acabó de llegar por mi buzón de correo electrónico:

Good luck in the upcoming season. Still, I have to post some snippets from a poem that just arrived in my inbox:

There once was a man named Obama
His life began with drama
An African Muslim father
An Atheist white mama

Obama's white grandparents
They gave him a charmed life
Raised on the beaches of Hawaii
Far from ghetto strife

He went to private schools
Fourteen thousand dollars a year
Working-class white folks
They were nowhere near

He attended Columbia
Then Harvard Law
A very soft and liberal upbringing
Something Americans eventually saw

He then went to Chicago
Nation of Islam, Farrakhan, Black Panthers and Jackson
The only friends he made
All from the extreme left-wing faction

He joined a radical church
His Pastor downright insane
Blacks and whites, he said
Think with different parts of their brain

He was then elected to the U.S. Senate
Obama's ego grew very bold
He barely served a year
I will run for President was the story he told

He spent millions to stage rallies
The crowds would yell and cheer
But then it all fizzled out
Typical white folks, he said, cling to religion, guns and beer

His wife said America was mean
She was never really proud
Her Black Separatist thesis at Princeton
Became a campaign cloud

He opened a Texas Office
A banner of Che Guevara proudly on display
Paying tribute to a Marxist executioner
Americans gasped with dismay

He claimed to be a uniter
He would bring people together all at once
But after his speech in Philadelphia
He proved to be a demographic dunce

He tried once more to persuade whites
But his bowling was a mess
He rolled a 37
Like a 5-year-old girl in a dress

He then played basketball
He drove the ball to the rack
But when all was said and done
He nearly had a heart attack

He said damn those white voters
Their Mutual Funds I will tax
I'll double the capital gains rate
Like an old-school Liberal hack

He opposed a gas tax holiday
He said it wasn't a winner
$40 wasn't much he said
Just the weekly budget for the average family's dinner

He wouldn't cover his heart
As the National Anthem played
It's a meaningless gesture he said
But Americans felt betrayed

He wouldn't wear a flag pin
It was against his One World view
It doesn't matter he said
And the American people stewed

Obama's African-American supporters
President Clinton they once backed
But they quickly turned on Bill and Hillary
Loyalty was something they plainly lacked

Millions of Hillary supporters
Their efforts would not be in vain
They said no to leftist Obama
And gave support to a War Hero named McCain

His name was Barack Hussein Obama
Running for a second Jimmy Carter term
Weak on National Security
A little, pacifist worm

The radical left-wing Democrats
A Presidential race lost once again
Is it really a surprise
They've lost 7 of the last 10?

I don't know if I agree with all of the points the poet ("Publius II"), makes; in fact, I definitely don't, but he does raise some valid points, which are summed up in the title, "Unelectable Obama." The question is whether or not the Republican brand is irrevocably damaged to the point that they can't win elections anywhere.

Also, I'm fairly certain that Chuck wants to run for Governor of Alabama. That would be a better path for him, because it's his home and it's much more possible to effect change and important policy initiatives at the state level. The Feds are entrenched, and they don't know the meaning of the word "budget." ;-)

Amen

One thing I love about Obama's media coverage is that he isn't "black enough" to truly represent African Americans, but as soon as some minister says something, he turns into Brother Darkness.

It just proves that we're still immature about race in this country.

Este poema me fascinó, es muy hermoso...... muito bom!.. ..hahaha
beautiful poem..hehe
imagine...Barck, Kirshner and Chavez ... perfect world ... :-/

Gittle, you need to stop posting those lies, and don't forward them to others...get thee over to snoops.com and get those e-mail slanders washed outta your mind!
He has lived the American dream we'd like all our kids to have..abandoned by his father, raised by a mother and grandparents, got scholarships to the best schools because he is smart...married a beautiful and highly intellignet women, has two adorable kids...what the heck is not to like?

Oh and Dee, welcome home!

congrats for the rusian championship and the eurolige...
now for the WNBA ...
you can do it!

take care Girl!

I love U! =)

Obama & Barkley? had hope ... but definitely, nobody can be perfect! :-)
good luck!

Dee, you should let Obama know you're available for the VP spot. I'm sure it pays decently..;)

He ain't going to be president, so the pay might not be so good.

missed you and the other girls on Sunday's preseason but the new additions don't look to bad. Hard to fill the Penny spot but I have faith. Can't wait for Saturday!!!! It is the start to my favorite time of year! Go Mercury!!!

for me you r the best female player, champion, u r the winner...everyday i shoot a ball, just like others, today i scored 300 times, tomorrow i will shoot again, everyday practise i just love ball as you do, Go TD Go Mercury Go champs.

hey deeeeeeeeeee! My dad and me just got back from Sparks @ Defending Champions, Phoenix Mercury. Okay look i was mad too, but i got a duplicate ring, mercury pen, mercury towl and my all time favorite thing your autograph. Maybe you remember me, i had a white mercury hat, redish Diana Taurasi 3 tee on, blue jeans, white and it was right after that middle age woman got from you and she said "this little girl has been dieing to get your autograph". Remember, do ya?!? But you played a great game and your parents wouldn't stop smiling, but, mostly your pop.

oh, and i forgot, my bad. I couldn't believe it when i heard wens. that you were hospitalized. I nearly cried. Well today you proved that your feeling better. Oh and can you tell Cappie next time to give me her autogragh, she kept walking away from me. oh well good luck on thursday, i'll be there so keep an eye for me.

Let me first throw out there, isn't the President's salary around $400,000/yr.? VP, dunno, but it's pretty ironic. He should work at the IRS. Seriously though, Chuck get on the right path, whatever that is. Dee, welcome back to the U.S., I know, (sighs) Bush is still President. Does winning ever get old? Kidding of course. I'm glad the W is back up n kickin' again, this year's champion is coming out of the Western Conference. I might be off, I am a Cubs fan, as I've been wrong at picking the Cubs to win. This post is getting long, looks like the NBA might be saved in Chicago, its pretty sweet with the first pick in the draft, I think the Mercury know that feeling.......

vamoooooooos! deeee!

tiene que ganar!!
empezaron mal pero se que se recuperarán y llegaran a las finales...
ojala asi sea porque quiero verlas jugar otra vez ahi =)

abrazos desde Chile! =)

Guess when President JOHN McCAIN comes to town when he is POTUS, he won't be going to many of your games. McCAIN RULES!!!!

I can't believe you haven't posted this one yet. Thought I would share:

Obama is so gonna win. Its time we have someone right to run the country
