Triple H has brought back former talent since becoming head of WWE creative from Vince McMahon, which has led to speculation that Bray Wyatt could be returning.

As previously reported, some WWE higher-ups believe that the company is more likely to get Wyatt back. John Cena also fueled speculation that Wyatt could be returning to WWE.

Fightful Select reported additional details after internally gauging interest from WWE higher-ups, staff, and talent. One star stated he could tell by last year that Vince McMahon was simply "done" with Wyatt as he didn’t like him personally and would shout derogatory things at Wyatt about his physique.

One talent stated McMahon did that because Wyatt pushed back on creative and called out things that were bad, which McMahon didn’t like, so Wyatt was labeled as having a "bad attitude.” That narrative "came from those who worked directly with McMahon. There were also several other instances of rumors started within that circle to ease the heat off of WWE for releasing him."

One WWE higher-up said McMahon had reservations whenever Wyatt's name was brought up post-release. This same person noted they think he'd fit way better in today's WWE landscape.

There was frustration at WrestleMania 37 after months of a Randy Orton-Bray Wyatt storyline, which saw the finish of the bout be changed the day before. One person who worked on the match noted that no one knew what was going on along the journey of the storyline.

As noted, Orton was supposed to lose and have months off." However, that was reversed with Wyatt taking time off and wasn’t brought back before being released.

The report noted, “there was never a long-term plan by the Vince McMahon regime for the resolution of the story, which frustrated those involved in it, as it was heavily featured.”

Another wrestler stated that type of thing is why they didn’t push back on creative because if a top guy like Wyatt could get fired, no one felt safe.

The specific relationship between Wyatt and Triple H is unknown. Still, several people have stated it’s a clean slate because if “Triple H thinks a talent can help the company or make money, most believe he's largely going to throw whatever issues they had with Vince McMahon out the window for the sake of creating a better show.”

One person who worked heavily with Bray Wyatt said, "I can't speak for him, but I know I've heard his name brought up, and I don't know how you couldn't feel better about coming in now if you were him?"

Several current wrestlers said they'd happily "go to bat" for him but don't believe he'd need it to get brought back. People at Wrestlecon noted it didn't seem like Wyatt shut the door on the idea of returning to WWE. It was also noted he had no interest in going to Impact Wrestling.

Those close to Wyatt have started to get quiet when reaching out to them about what’s going on with Wyatt and his future.

His name has at least been pitched for a return within creative, but that doesn't mean he's returning because many names have been pitched within creative since Triple H took over.
