Watch: XFL punter unleashes incredible throw on fake punt

If nothing else, the XFL has been a fantastic source of innovation and randomly exciting trick plays. That brings us to Saturday's game between the Orlando Guardians and the San Antonio Brahmas.

In that contest, Orlando punter Mac Brown unleashed an absolute rocket of a downfield pass for a 69-yard gain on a fake punt.

Just look at this throw and remind yourself that is a punter.

He not only threw that ball 40 yards on a line, he dropped it in over decent coverage in a perfect spot. That is not a punter throw, that is a quarterback throw.

Brown was a social media favorite during his college days at Ole Miss thanks to his booming leg -- which produced incredible hang time -- as well as some of the surprising tackles he was able to deliver. Like this one in the Egg Bowl against arch-rival Mississippi State.

Brown was listed at 6-4, 205 pounds during his playing days at Mississippi and is not your typical punter. He can tackle, he can talk some trash and he can also apparently sling it.
