‘He Is Also Endangered’: Jake Paul Reveals Next Opponent
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Jake Paul (8-1, 5 KOs) had already revealed he was appearing as the co-main event with Amanda Serrano on the March 2 card in Puerto Rico. Paul has now revealed his opponent for that fight will be Ryan Bourland (17-2, 6 KOs). Bourland has not fought since a September 2022 win against Santario Martin.

Jake Paul Reveals Ryan Borland as Next Opponent

Jake Paul Announces New Opponent

Paul was last seen when he brutally stopped Andre August in the first round. Despite the impressive stoppage win, many still criticised the level of the opponent. “The Problem Child” has proven he is a good PPV draw, with the impressive numbers seen from his bout against Nate Diaz.

When announcing his opponent for March 2 on X, Paul said: “The goal is simple, build the skillset to become world champion. Next up is a guy who has twice as many professional fights under his belt than I do. Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland. And just like the animal in his bone chilling nickname… he is also endangered.”

He continued: “On Saturday, March 2 as co-main to the Puerto Rican GOAT, Amanda Serrano, I’m fighting for experience, and to show my love to the island I call home I’ll be donating my entire fight purse to my nonprofit Boxing Bullies to help renovate gyms across.“

Who Is Ryan Bourland?

Looking at his record on BoxRec, Bourland has fought 19 professional fights, winning 17 of them. The Californian-born fighter competed regularly following his pro-debut against Alberto Avina in 2013 until he defeated Jose Hernandez by a majority decision in 2018. Since that win, he has only fought once, which was his victory in 2022. Yes, this is the second consecutive professional boxer to take on “The Problem Child,” but it remains to be seen if this is a step up from Andre August.
