Jake Paul ‘close’ to fighting Davis
ANP

Jake Paul says that talks with Gervonta Davis were in place for a fight in the future.

Jake Paul has been in consistent negotiations to secure top fights with top contenders as of late. He recently secured a fight with Julio Ceasar Chavez, Jr. That fight is scheduled for June of this year.

His fight against Mike Tyson in November 2024 reportedly earned him $40 million.

Paul was also negotiating a fight to face Canelo Alverez on Cinco de Mayo in May but talks fell through on Alverz’s end as he eventually signed a four-fight deal with the Saudis.

“Turki hates me, he hates me completely. He did everything he could to frustrate the fight. Try to make it not happen. Not only that, but Jake also confessed that Turki put all the pressure on Canelo, as he threatened him when rumors of their fight began to emerge: He was calling Canelo, he was calling Eddie Reynoso, basically saying, ‘Why are you doing this? Why are you doing this?’, to the point of having to threaten to cancel his three-fight contract: ‘You’re not going to fight Crawford. I’m not going to pay you any of this money. I want to fight Anthony Joshua. Exclusive! Because I know I’m going to beat Anthony Joshua… I love you, Anthony, and we’re friends. But I want to fight you,” Paul stated.

It remains to be seen if the fight will take place or will Paul be content with his bout against Chavez, Jr this summer.
