MVP Signs Alycia Baumgardner – ‘It’s The Next Big Move’
Roger LaPointe/News-Messenger / USA TODAY NETWORK

Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has confirmed the signing of undisputed super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner.

Baumgardner’s record stands at 15-1, with 7 KOs to her name. This is another big-name female signing after Amando Serrano.  The latter recently inked a lifetime contract with MVP. That will include her becoming a chairwoman of MVP’s women’s boxing initiatives. She also secured her financial future with the two Katie Taylor fights, even if she came up short in those two bouts. The third fight will take place in July.

Serrano’s Deal

“Signing this lifetime deal with MVP means I can continue fighting – not just in the ring, but for the next generation of women in combat sports. MVP has always been committed to elevating female fighters, from being the first women to headline Madison Square Garden to breaking viewership records for women’s sports or making history with 12 three-minute rounds.

“Together, we’ve shown the world that women deserve equal pay, equal rounds, and equal respect. I’m proud to build my legacy with MVP and excited to stay on after I retire as a fighter to deepen MVP’s impact and help create even more opportunities for women in the sport,” Serrano stated

Baumgardner joined the pro ranks in 2017. She found immediate success, knocking out Britain Hart in the first round. Her major breakthrough came in 2021 when she defeated Terri Harper to become the WBC and IBO featherweight champion. She followed up her success with wins over Edith Matthysse and Mikaela Mayer.

Those two wins also made her the WBO and IBF featherweight champion. She became undisputed at the weight class with a win against Elhem Mekhaled to get the WBA belt. Baumgardner’s only loss came against Christina Linardatou, something she avenged with a win in 2023. Her last bout was a win over Delfine Persoon in 2024. Now, she is looking forward to the next steps in her boxing career with this big move.

Baumgardner’s Deal

“I’ve always believed in betting on myself, and signing with MVP is the next big move in that journey. MVP has proven they’re leaders in women’s boxing, creating the biggest opportunities for fighters like me to shine. This partnership is a natural fit—not just for my career but for the impact we’re making on the sport. The future just got even bigger,” Baumgardner said

“MVP is strategically building a roster of fighters who deliver the W both inside and outside the ring, and we are thrilled to welcome Alycia to the family as our newest women’s world champion. Alycia is a one of the premier athletes in combat sports and signing her is a meaningful accomplishment for our promotion as we now have exclusive relationships with 2 of the top 5 boxers in the world. We look forward to Alyicia’s MVP debut and are actively evaluating the right timing and event for her return to the ring,” Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian said
