Big 12 Well-Represented in Preseason AP Poll

The preseason AP poll was released on Monday afternoon as the Big 12 has six teams in the initial top 25. Kansas comes in at No. 1 overall and the conference has five programs just in the top 10.

10. Arizona

20. Cincinnati

RV: Texas Tech (58), Kansas State (30), BYU (14), Arizona State (2)

There are a lot of changes in Big 12 basketball for the 2024-25 season. The conference officially adds Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah this summer while losing Oklahoma and Texas to the SEC. The Big 12 will also move to a 20-game conference schedule, making the already grueling slate even harder.

West Virginia did not receive a single vote point in the first poll under head coach Darian DeVries. WVU is ranked 87th in KenPom’s preseason rankings.
