Stetson Bennett arrested for public intoxication

Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Stetson Bennett was arrested early Sunday morning on a public intoxication charge in Dallas, Texas according to a report from WFAA.

Police said they responded to a call of somebody banging on doors in the early morning hours Sunday. It was at that point that officers found Bennett and determined he was intoxicated. They did not say if he was the person that was banging on the doors.

Bennett was arrested and taken into custody.

The 25-year-old Bennett just completed his career at Georgia by leading the Bulldogs to a second consecutive national title. He is eligible for the 2023 NFL draft and has a chance to be selected. He is projected as a late round pick.

Bennett recently turned down an invite to the senior bowl.

Depending on what else comes out of this case it could impact his draft stock. When you are talking about a fringe draft prospect every little thing gets taken into consideration.
