The 2025 NFL draft is set to begin on Thursday night and Colorado Buffaloes' standout wide receiver and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter will be one of the most talked about players leading up to it.

Hunter, who is widely expected to focus on wide receiver at the next level, has been vocal about wanting to play cornerback as well. Whoever drafts him will likely give him a chance to play both sides of the ball, although they will likely want him to focus on offense.

Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network has weighed in with his thoughts on the topic.

He believes that Hunter will indeed focus on offense, while also being given a chance to make an impact on the defensive side of the football.

Not only did Jeremiah speak out about the role Hunter will have, he also revealed who he thinks will draft Hunter. He believes that the Colorado star will be selected at No. 2 overall by the Cleveland Browns.

"Cleveland's gonna take him (Hunter). He's gonna major in offense, minor on defense," Jeremiah said. "He (Hunter) would say he's a WR/CB and not the other way around."

During the 2024 college football season with the Buffaloes, Hunter dominated on both sides of the ball once again.

As a wide receiver, he caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns. Defensively, as a cornerback, he racked up 35 total tackles, a forced fumble, four interceptions, and 11 defended passes.

There is no question that Hunter is capable of playing both sides of the ball. With the Browns, he could fill a hole at cornerback while focusing on wide receiver, which Jeremiah seems to think would be the best scenario for him in the long run.
