While the topic of tampering has basically become an afterthought in the modern era of college athletics, Colorado’s Deion Sanders isn’t having any of it.
In a recent video from spring practice, Sanders can be seen calling out the Virginia Cavaliers for actively tampering with sophomore safety Carter Stoutmire .

“Carter got offered a bag,” Sanders said. “What’s the school? Virginia. Virginia, you’ve gotta stop. I let you have one and I ain’t say nothing about it. C’mon now. C’mon. We let you have one. I ain’t say nothing about it.”
In Sanders’ comments, he mentioned that Colorado gave Virginia one. That statement is likely referring to Isaiah Augustave, a sophomore running back who saw plenty of work in Boulder but elected to enter the transfer portal this spring.
According to reports from those affiliated with the University, Augustave is expected to visit Virginia in the coming days.
Last season with the Buffaloes, Stoutmire developed into a reliable piece in Sanders’ secondary, recording 42 tackles, seven pass breakups, and a forced fumble.
While the Cavaliers may be making a push to poach some of Colorado’s athletes, it appears Deion Sanders, Carter Stoutmire, and just about everyone in Boulder are making it known not to sniff around in the offseason.
