Do it for Corso: Legendary coach's former teams honor him in best way possible

Saturday was a bittersweet day for college football fans around the world.

Week 1 of college football kicked off, but it also marked the final appearance on "College GameDay" for the legendary Lee Corso.

Corso has been a staple of "GameDay" for decades, and Saturday capped off an outstanding television career for one of the greatest personalities on TV.

Each one of Corso's former teams was in action on Saturday, and they all paid homage to Corso in the best way possible, and that was by winning their games.

Florida State came away with the biggest win of any team, as it knocked off No. 8-ranked Alabama in one of the biggest Week 1 upsets in recent years. Corso was the lone member of the "College GameDay" crew to select the Seminoles to knock off the Crimson Tide.

Each of the other five teams listed above, besides Northern Illinois, won fairly handily, a fitting end to Week 1 for each team that was impacted by the teammate and leader that Corso was.

It was a fitting Saturday for not only Corso's alma mater, but each team that he had the privilege of leading onto the field during his 15-year coaching career.
