Elko Makes Honest Admission on Spring Attendance Question

Mike Elko didn’t hold back when addressing the question of attendance at Texas A&M’s spring game, a topic that had been a subject of curiosity among fans and media alike. With a smaller-than-usual crowd filling Kyle Field on Saturday, Elko made sure to address the matter head-on, offering a response that was both candid and classy.

“Look, we know it wasn’t the biggest crowd we’ve seen,” Elko began. “We’re in the middle of a lot of different things going on right now. I don’t think anyone should read too much into it.”

Elko, ever the professional, took the opportunity to shift the focus from the attendance to the bigger picture—the development of his team and the importance of the spring game itself. “It’s not about the number of fans in the stands; it’s about the guys on the field getting better, building chemistry, and preparing for the fall,” he said.
