Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has been trying to manifest the perfect landing spots for his son Shedeur Sanders and his star pupil Travis Hunter in the 2025 NFL Draft next month. To that end, he may have revealed exactly where Shedeur prefers to go.

Speaking as a guest at the ProMat 2025 show, Sanders reportedly said that they're hoping for New York. It's not clear if he was referring to the New York Giants or the New York Jets, both of whom are drafting in the top 10 and need long-term answers at quarterback. But given that the Giants are the only one of the two that's actually expressed serious interest in him, we can infer that it's Big Blue and not Gang Green.

However, there is no video of Sanders saying this, so we cannot definitively state that Sanders even said this in the first place.

"We are hoping for New York," Coach Prime reportedly said while on stage, per Marshall Green of ChatSports.

Assuming that Sanders did say it, the Giants do make the most sense based on everything we've seen over the past few months.

It has long been speculated that Sanders isn't interested in playing for either the smaller-market Tennessee Titans or the struggling Cleveland Browns. Sanders has also shown the Giants plenty of love in the past, hanging out with Giants star wideout Malik Nabers in New York and even wearing a pair of Giants-themed cleats during a college football game last season.

Suffice it to say, there's evidence that Sanders wants New York even if the feeling isn't mutual.

The Giants have a pressing need at quarterback after they jettisoned former No. 6 overall pick Daniel Jones in the middle of last season.

But by the same token, the Giants' top brass can't exactly afford anything less than stellar play from the quarterback position as they try to save their jobs. It's widely believed that head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen will lose their jobs if the team doesn't turn things around in 2025.

If Sanders really is the guy, they'll need him to have a season a lot like what the Commanders just got from rookie sensation Jayden Daniels.
