One of the more intriguing Pro Day’s of the circuit occurred today at LSU. The main reason for this intrigue was wide receiver Kyren Lacy , who has an abundance of NFL talent, but has also been dealing with some serious legal issues. His performance today impressed:

The fact that the official New Orleans “X” handle posted the above-video is a unique twist in what has been a turbulent couple of months for Lacey, who ran a 4.44/4.46 40 and recorded a 36" vertical today. He is facing charges of negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless operation of a vehicle following a December 17th crash that killed 78-year-old Herman Hall, a former U.S. Marine.
According to a January 10th release by the Louisiana State Police, Lacy “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the center line and entering the northbound lane while in a designated No Passing Zone,” State Police. His actions caused a multi-vehicle crash that killed Hall and left two others injured. He then left the scene of the accident without reporting it.
The result kept Lacey from getting invited to the NFL Combine, which would have been a foregone conclusion otherwise. He was projected as a mid-round pick before his arrest, which is highly unlikely now, but with his skillset and production at Louisiana and then LSU, there is always a chance that some team will give him an opportunity. However, until his legal issues are resolved, his football career will continue to be on the backburner.
