While the University of Pittsburgh's mascot is the Panthers, Pitt football fans can't get enough of the sharks. Linebackers Kyle Lewis, Rasheem Biles, Braylan Lovelace, and Brandon George have been the engines of a Panthers defense that is allowing an ACC-best 17.3 points per game in conference play, and have been given the nickname 'The Sharks' by Pitt Linebackers Coach Ryan Manalac.
