20 celebrities who are major sports fans

Ted Lasso is a huge sports fan and a huge supporter of women’s sports. Jason Sudeikis is a fan of the New York Liberty, NYC’s WNBA team, and he’s traveled to watch the phenomenon Caitlin Clark play in person multiple times. 

Drake is another huge basketball fan. The rapper has mentioned the sport in his work a fair number of times, and he can be seen sitting courtside at Toronto Raptors games every now and again. 

Ashley Judd is a huge fan of the Kentucky basketball team. The actress graduated from the university, and she’s become an important part of the program as an alum. 

As women’s sports have grown, celebrities have revealed themselves to be fans of the women’s game, too. Kehlani is a fan of the WNBA, and the singer has performed at the league’s All-Star Game and has geeked out over former LSU player Angel Reese. 

Jay-Z is a massive sports fan who can be found courtside at NBA games and in suites at the Super Bowl. The rapper now helps produce the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and he used to be a part-owner of the Brooklyn Nets. 

This Boston native stays true to his team. Mark Wahlberg is a rabid fan of all the city’s major teams. From the Celtics to the Patriots and the Red Sox, there isn’t a Boston team that Marky Mark doesn’t root for. He’s even thrown out the first pitch at a Red Sox game.

It’s hard to believe based on their climate, but hockey is huge in Australia. And one of the country’s most famous exports is a major fan. It’s been said that Margot Robbie postponed her audition for The Wolf of Wall Street so she could attend a New York Rangers game. 

Jerry Seinfeld loves the Mets, but he also loves baseball. The famous comedian finds value in the strategy and work that goes into the game, and he’s learned a thing or two from baseball players who have helped him hone his comedic craft.
