20 of 2024's most memorable love songs

Although Benson Boone's No. 2 hit "Beautiful Things" isn't entirely about a person, he sings about several things that have made him fall in love with life, and a "girl my parents love" is one of them.

It seems like Ariana Grande wrote this song to be up for interpretation among listeners, and to us, a part of it sounds like a self-love anthem in the making.

Beyoncé's "MY ROSE" is from her country album Cowboy Carter. Although the song is short, it's filled with lyrics from the singer's perspective about loving somebody deeply. She also encourages the listener to love themselves despite their flaws.

Who says all love songs have to be sappy ballads? Reneé Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion teamed up for this up-tempo pop tune about having the power to make anybody fall in love with them. And if you couldn't tell by the title, it's not their fault.

Nobody saw this duet between Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé coming, but we're thankful it's here for us to enjoy. The love they're singing about in this track, "II MOST WANTED," seems pure, genuine, and completely unconditional.

Dua Lipa's singles always have such a vibe, and "Training Season" came just in time. She sings about wanting the perfect person to give her love to; however, she doesn't want to have to teach anybody how to love her right. According to her, training season is over.

Nobody can deny Taylor Swift's ability to create a popular and memorable love song. She's done it time and time again with tracks from her record-breaking albums, and "Fortnight" featuring Post Malone is one of several new love songs from her April 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department. The song packages her typical synth, calming vocals, and, of course, lyrics only she could come up with.

Also from Cowboy Carter, "BODYGUARD" is an upbeat song about the fun kind of love everybody dreams of having. Beyoncé sings about a backseat rendezvous and defending her partner fiercely... from the gossip and the mosh pit.

Ariana Grande's "the boy is mine" is from her album, Eternal Sunshine. It's a fun, reimagined version of Brandy and Monica's late '90s hit of the same name. She sings the catchy lyrics, "Something about him is made for somebody like me," explaining that she's singing to/about her soulmate, which makes it one of this year's best love songs (so far). 

We can't get Sabrina Carpenter's newest single out of our heads. In it, she likens herself to espresso, which is why her partner can't get her out of their head. "Now he's thinkin' 'bout me, every night / Isn't that sweet? I guess so," she sings throughout the two-minute track.

Nobody could've warned us for Beyoncé and Post Malone's relaxed tune about an unmatched love. After listening to it on repeat for weeks, being somebody's pair of Levi's Jeans is the only thing we've been able to think about.

If you know anything about CoCo Jones, you know making love songs is her thing. She did it again with "Here We Go," where she sings about the thrills that come from her on-again-off-again relationship with her person. Some of the lyrics read, "I know when you said, 'Goodbye,' you ain't mean no goodbye / Herе we go, uh-oh / I know when you get to likin' my pictures, it's time / Here we go, uh-oh, ah."

If you've heard this song, then you know Ariana Grande sings about rearranging the cosmos with the love of her life in this song. How could we not root for that kind of love?

Good Neighbours, a British musical group that stepped onto the scene at the beginning of this year, sang about the kind of love that reminds you of home in their new song of the same name. It peaked at No. 77 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold over 200,000 copies in the UK.

FLO's "Walk Like This" is another pop song about a steamy and passionate relationship with your partner, which translates to being in love in our minds. And they sing about being unable to get the other person out of their heads, so that's got to count for something.

Have you ever been so in love that you're tempted to get matching tattoos or walk down the aisle in a Vegas chapel with your special someone? Well, the singer Max Schneider has put those feelings in his alternative/pop/R&B style tune, "STUPID IN LOVE." The lyrics are catchy enough to get stuck in your head, and the beat is too funky for you not to listen to it on repeat. 

Let's be honest. We've all had a case of the "Whiskey Blues," even if we don't want to admit it. Thanks, Tanner Adell, for keeping us in our feelings.

Alright, it might not be the stereotypical type of love song we're used to. However, Shaboozey definitely sings about his baby wanting a Birkin in his hit single, "A Bar Song (Tipsy)."

Madison Beer will do whatever it takes to make her crush notice her in the pop and EDM song "Make You Mine." We might not go as far as creating a shrine as she sang about; however, we can appreciate the passion.  

Every couple could take advice from Flo Milli's song "Never Lose Me." It's all about reminding your partner that you, well, never want to lose them.
