Amy Duggar Reveals Husband’s Terrifying Injury

Amy Duggar of the infamous Duggar family and their shows 19 Kids and Counting, as well as Counting On, is currently making headlines because her husband, Dillon King, is suffering from some serious health issues. Amy took to social media to inform fans that her husband had faced some significant health challenges over the past couple of weeks. Thankfully, after spending some time in the hospital, he’s doing much better now. What exactly happened to Dillon?

Amy Duggar Hints At Husband’s Health

Amy Duggar first alerted fans that something was up with her husband back on April 3rd. The TLC star took to Instagram to wish her husband a happy birthday. She posted several photos, one of the most surprising ones being of Dillon in a hospital bed.

She said, “Happy Birthday to my favorite person on the planet! Y’all, I adore this man! Dax has the best dad on the planet, and he’s so loved by so many family and friends! Normally, we’d be celebrating in a huge way, but currently, we are facing some possible life-threatening medical concerns. Today I’d like to ask for some prayers on his behalf. I know God has him, but we welcome the prayers!! I can’t think of a better gift for him! Dillon, we can get through anything together.

His Terrifying Injury

On April 9th, Amy Duggar provided fans with an update on her husband’s health. She explained that things weren’t getting better for him and they had to seek medical attention again. This time, things got a lot scarier for Amy and her husband.

Speaking exclusively to People, Amy Duggar explained that Dillon was diagnosed with a severe diaphragmatic rupture, which is an extremely rare and dangerous condition that causes his vital organs to shift into his chest cavity. She explained that there was a 4-inch tear in his diaphragm, which was what caused his organs to become displaced.

She said, “Doctors have made it clear that this is not a quick fix. The risks are high, the procedures complex, and the recovery uncertain. We are taking this one moment at a time, clinging to hope, prayer, and the wisdom of the medical teams who are now walking this road with us.”

While Dillon is doing better, he still has a long road to a full recovery. He’s going to require a lot of rest and care as he’s still pretty critical. Amy promised to continue to provide updates to fans once she has them, but until then, she asked for prayers and support.

This type of injury is both rare and incredibly scary. Hopefully, Dillon’s road to a full recovery is smooth, and any other update that Amy might provide is full of nothing but good news.
