It's been confirmed that the Dwayne Johnson-led Jumanji film series will get a third outing, and the film has already secured a date in the calendar as per Sony, who revealed that the project will hit IMAX and PLF screens on December 11, 2026.
The first film in the franchise, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, hit theaters in 2017 and made a pretty penny, raking in over $962 million worldwide. The film starred Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan and served as a spin on the 1995 family favorite about four kids who find themselves trapped inside a magic board game.
However, the 2017 rendition saw the four sucked inside a video game, with the only way to get out being to complete it.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was followed up by Jumanji: The Next Level in 2019, with the same core cast and the same concept, and now we're getting another chapter to the story.
Jake Kasdan, who directed the first two films, is in talks to return, along with Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan also expected to reprise their roles.
Further details on the film are yet to be revealed.
