Timothée Chalamet Unrecognizable in New Josh Safdie Film

Josh Safdie's solo feature directorial debut, Marty Short, is underway, telling the story of legendary table tennis champion Marty Reisman, who won 22 major titles between 1946 and 2002.

Timothée Chalamet will star as Reisman in the film from A24, and the first image from set has surfaced online showing Chalamet in a sweater vest, baggy blouse and pants, which has shaken up the internet.

Fans are also comparing his new look to a number of people, including Steve Carrell, Harry Styles and Ned Flanders.

Joining Chalamet in the cast are Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Abel Ferrara, Tyler the Creator, Penn Jillette, Kevin O'Leary, and Musto Pelinkovicci, and the talent also reaches behind the camera with two-time Oscar-nominee Darius Khondji ( Seven, Uncut Gems, Okja) serving as cinematographer.

Further updates on the film are yet to come, but now production is underway we should be hearing more soon.
