It's Will Ferrell's 50th birthday! In honor of the funny man making it to half-a-century-years old, we'd like the highlight a few of the many, many moments he's busted our guts and split our sides over the last few decades.

Will Ferrell's Harry Caray impression is so legendary that it's what most people are doing an impression of when they try to do Harry Caray. The sketch featuring Ferrell as the legendary Cubs broadcaster and Jeff Goldblum as an astrophysicist is undoubtedly the best time Ferrell ever tried out the character.

Speaking of sudden outbursts, this sketch where a family dinner boils over into a shouting match punctuated by Ferrell's odd boasts is a masterclass in ridiculousness. "I drive a Dodge Stratus" is the rallying cry of the world's biggest losers who don't know they're the world's biggest losers.

Will Ferrell's collaborations with John C. Reilly and Adam McKay are career highlights for sure and "Step Brothers" is no exception. The movie is pure absurdity and a great example of that is Ferrell singing Bonnie Raitt as an astonished and enchanted John C. Reilly looks on.

Ferrell's turns as "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek are always a treat. He does exasperated and disappointed so, so well. The rivalry between Trebek and Sean Connery will never not leave us out of breath from laughter.

Get Off The Shed!

One of Will Ferrell's specialties is deeply unhinged characters who have sudden outbursts that continue to escalate. One of the best instances of that is this sketch where he plays a father he continuously yells at his children to get down off of a shed, or else.

As the evil fashion mastermind Mugatu, Ferrell is a scene-stealer in "Zoolander." A line like "I feel like I'm taking crazy pills" only becomes memorable because of Ferrell's delivery.

While filming The Campaign, Ferrell took a break to take in a Bulls-Hornets game. While the game itself wasn't that memorable, Ferrell announcing the starting lineups certainly was, with lines like "After retirement he wants to be rodeo clown?" Who needs research when you're one of the best improvisors in the world?

The Good George Bush

Ferrell's impression of George Bush is one of the best impressions of a politician ever. The Bush years weren't all that funny, but Ferrell almost made the worthwhile.

Old Timey Prospector

It's testament to Will Ferrell's comedy super powers that arguably his funniest sketch while on "Saturday Night Live" was one that never made it to air. As Gus Chiggins, Ferrell is an old prospector who is assigned to work with a group of soldiers. Ferrell's so funny in the sketch that everyone else in the scene can't help but laugh and break character repeatedly during the sketch.

The Funeral Crasher

Will Ferrell's brief appearance in "Wedding Crashers" as Chazz, the original wedding crasher is one of the funniest cameos is movie history and easily could've been three times longer. We haven't been thinking of meatloaf the same way since.

The Blue Oyster Cult "Behind the Music" sketch is an all-timer. Ferrell's enthusiasm and 100% commitment to the bit is laudable and even he has a rare break from character at the silliness of it all.

Ridiculousness and absurdity are hallmarks of great Will Ferrell sketches. Exhibit A: Robert Goulet's "Coconut Banger's Ball" a completely fake album of rap covers from the legendary lounge crooner. It's the sort of sketch that can only come from an evil comedy genius.

Inside The Actor's Studio

While on SNL, Ferrell did such specific impressions that you can't help but be impressed. His frequent sketches as James Lipton, host of "Inside the Actor's Studio," are not remembered as well as Harry Caray or Alex Trebek, but are as funny if not funnier.

In "Old School," Ferrell plays a mild-mannered man who reverts to his natural party animal state. Whether he's going streaking or revving the engine of a muscle car, he's simply electric.

"Anchorman" is probably Will Ferrell at the height of his powers. The movie has an argument for funniest of all time and 99% of that has to do with Ferrell's greatest buffoon. You're quoting the movie right now, aren't you?

"Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby" is primo Will Ferrell. He's character's a total idiot but you can't help but love his antics. It doesn't hurt that it's a dang-good sports movie, too.
