However, does Disney Plus have a free trial so you can try it before you buy? We'll help you learn more about the platform’s costs and whether there’s a free trial currently available for new subscribers.

Does Disney Plus offer a free trial?

Disney Plus doesn’t offer a free trial at this time. However, there are a few ways to get more value out of your streaming and get a Disney Plus subscription for less.

  • Pay for an annual Disney Plus Premium subscription: Disney Plus Premium typically costs $15.99 per month, but subscribers can choose to pay $159.99 annually. By opting for the annual subscription, new subscribers could save nearly $32.

How much does Disney Plus cost?

Disney Plus offers a variety of plans to accommodate your viewing habits and budgets. Its cheapest plan is Disney Plus Basic. With it, you can view all Disney Plus content with ads for $9.99 per month. With Disney Plus Premium, you can remove the ads and download content on up to 10 devices for $15.99 monthly or $159.99 annually.

If you want to share your membership with other loved ones or friends who don’t live in the same home, become an extra member for $6.99 if you’re a Disney Plus basic member or $9.99 per month if you’re a Disney Plus Premium member.

Disney also offers bundled plans where you can stream content from them and other platforms. The Disney Basic Duo includes plans from Disney Plus and Hulu with ads for $10.99 per month. If you want no ads for both, subscribe to the Disney Bundle Duo Premium for $19.99 per month.

Sports fans will want access to ESPN Plus, which you can do with the Disney Bundle Trio. The plan includes ads for all three platforms for a $16.99 monthly cost. Ad-free options are also available for Hulu and Disney for $26.99 per month. With the Disney Bundle Trio Premium, you’ll still have to watch ads for ESPN Plus content.

Disney also offers bundle plans with Max. Max is an exceptional service offering classic and new hits from HBO and a ton of reality TV content. The Disney Plus, Hulu, Max Bundle feature all three platforms with ads for $16.99. If you want commercial-free content for all three, sign up for the Disney Plus, Hulu and Max Bundle (No Ads) for $29.99 per month.

What can you watch on Disney Plus?

Disney Plus offers something for everyone in your family. If you want to stream every episode of “The Simpsons,” you can do so through the app. You can also stream seasonal content, such as “Hocus Pocus,” “Halloweentown,” “Home Alone” and the “Santa Clause” movies and TV series.

Disney Plus also features originals. Stream “Madu,” “Frozen,” or “Haunted Mansion.” If you’re a music fan, watch “Elton John Live,” containing footage from his farewell show at Dodger Stadium, or Taylor Swift’s “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.” If you bundle Disney Plus with other platforms like Hulu, you’ll see some of that content when you launch the Disney Plus app. It grants you access to shows like “Abbott Elementary” and “The Bear.”

How does Disney Plus compare to competitors?

Disney Plus offers diverse content at a fairly competitive price compared to competitors. A clear Disney Plus drawback is its lack of a free trial; however, only three similar on-demand streaming services currently offer a free trial to subscribers.

Outside of just price and free trial availability, Disney Plus has a little something for everyone, including children’s programming, riveting documentaries and inspirational sports stories. The service is also adaptable as you can pair it with other platforms like ESPN Plus, Hulu or Max – a feature you won’t find with Netflix, for example. Even with the streaming service’s most recent price increases, Disney Plus represents a great value because they house titles you won’t find with other streaming services.
