FanDuel Sports Network North is a must-have for Minnesota sports fans. Owned by Diamond Sports Group, the regional sports network (RSN) covers the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves, MLB’s Minnesota Twins, the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx, and the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. The network also carries minor league and college action from North Dakota and Iowa.

DIRECTV STREAM offers four plans, but you’ll need to subscribe to the Choice plan or higher to get FanDuel Sports Network North. Along with FanDuel Sports Network North, the Choice plan includes more than 15 major sports networks like ESPN, ESPNEWS, ESPNU, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), MLB Network, NBA TV and NFL Network. On top of some of the best Minnesota sports broadcasts, you’ll have access to some of the best events in pro and collegiate sports. All plans include unlimited cloud DVR storage space and no caps on simultaneous streaming at home.
DIRECTV is the most expensive option for streaming FanDuel Sports Network North, but it does include some major sports networks you can’t find on Fubo, such as TBS, TNT and truTV.
Fubo is made for sports-loving cord-cutters. Its Pro plan features over 30 sports networks, including FanDuel Sports Network North. Note that there is also a regional sports fee that varies based on location for subscribers who live in an area where at least one RSN is available.
With the basic plan, viewers in the northern Midwest will get FanDuel Sports Network North with plenty of national and international coverage on channels like beIN Sports, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, NFL Network, CBS Sports Network, Big Ten Network and SEC Network. There’s even more sports coverage available via upgrades and add-ons. Depending on which option you choose, you can get channels like NBA TV, NHL Network, MLB Network, NFL RedZone, MLB Strike Zone, ESPNU, Tennis Channel, Pac-12 Network and more.
Compared to DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo offers more sports networks and more channels overall. However, Fubo is missing a few sports staples like TBS, TNT and truTV. You’ll also have access to unlimited cloud DVR recording space and 10 simultaneous streams on your home network.
You don’t have to subscribe to a full live TV streaming service to get FanDuel Sports Network North content. If you’d rather keep costs down or just want to mix your Minnesota sports experience with a different streaming platform, you can subscribe to FanDuel Sports Network Plus and watch via the FanDuel Sports Network app.
You’ll need to be located within the FanDuel Sports Network North viewing market to access content from the network. Note that FanDuel Sports Network Plus currently does not currently feature Minnesota Twins broadcasts.
You can watch FanDuel Sports Network Plus on iOS, Android and Amazon Fire devices. It’s also available on Samsung smart TVs, Apple TV, Roku, Xbox, Chromecast and most web browsers. If you already subscribe to a cable provider or live TV streaming service that includes FanDuel Sports Network North, simply log in with your provider info to start streaming.
FanDuel Sports Network North is available to stream on DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo. You can also subscribe directly to FanDuel Sports Network Plus and stream via the FanDuel Sports Network app, but note that Twins broadcasts are not included in this option.
FanDuel Sports Network North is not yet available via Amazon Prime. In early 2024, Diamond Sports Group announced a pending deal to sell a significant ownership stake in its FanDuel Sports Network properties to Amazon. If the deal gets finalized, FanDuel Sports Network Plus will be available as an add-on purchase via Amazon Prime.
The FanDuel Sports Network app and some of its content is free, but you’ll need FanDuel Sports Network Plus or a subscription to a streaming or cable service that carries FanDuel Sports Network North to watch live content. FanDuel Sports Network Plus costs $19.99 a month or $209.99 a year.
