Week 5 was exhilarating across the NCAA. The Alabama Crimson Tide served the Georgia Bulldogs their first regular-season loss in four years, and Kentucky shut out Southern Miss 31-0. This week, Georgia will look to bounce back against 2-3 Auburn and there are four Friday night matchups to look forward to.
Other games of note include USC against Minnesota, East Carolina at Charlotte and Duke vs Georgia Tech. The week 6 schedule kicks off with two Thursday night games. The Texas State Bobcats will aim to improve their 2-2 record against the 1-4 Troy Trojans, and the 4-1 Sam Houston Bearkats are taking on the woeful 0-4 UTEP Miners.
The AP Top 25 has Alabama skyrocketing to the top of their rankings this week, while Georgia dropped all the way to position five. Other teams on the rise include Oregon and Penn State. One of the biggest upsets could come from the No. 4 Tennessee at Arkansas game. Yardbarker’s own Zach Wadley thinks Arkansas will pull off a major upset.
The most narrow spreads this weekend include Boston College (+1) vs. Virginia (-1), Arkansas (+2.5) against South Alabama (-2.5) and Hawai’i (+2.5) at San Diego State (-2.5). Meanwhile, Penn State has a 27.5 point advantage against UCLA and the line in the Oregon vs. Michigan game is 24 points in Oregon’s favor.
As for who’s on track to win the national championship, Georgia heads into week 6 with the best odds. Behind them are Ohio State, Texas, Alabama and Oregon. The SEC is still dominating the Football Power Index, and that doesn’t look to change any time soon.
College football is available on various channels this season. These include local networks like ABC and NBC, along with conference networks like ACCN and Big Ten Network. Some games are also shown on apps that must be purchased independently. Peacock and SEC Plus fall into this category. And, of course, ESPN will provide a lot of action on its networks and ESPN Plus app.

Plus, DIRECTV STREAM is one of just two major livestreaming platforms to carry Bally Sports networks.
Additional sports channels on DIRECTV STREAM include NFL Network, NHL Network, NBA TV, Fox Sports 1 (FS1) and Fox Sports 2 (FS2). You can stream simultaneously on an infinite number of devices as long as you’re at home Away from home, users are allowed the three out-of-network simultaneous streams. Users also get unlimited cloud DVR space with any plan.
Fubo is also a good option for college football fans who want to cut cable. There are three Fubo plans to choose from. Fubo delivers important channels like ESPN, ESPN2, Boxing TV, FS1, FS2, NFL Network, Marquee Sports Network, Fubo Sports and Golf Channel. You’ll get local channels included in your plan, too, so you can watch a variety of primetime sports and Saturday morning college football games.
Fubo also has regional FanDuel Sports Networks as part of its Pro and Elite plans to help you catch up with local teams.
