Wimbledon, the tennis championship held each year in London, was founded in 1877 and brings together the sport’s most elite athletes. The Grand Slam tournament (the only one still played on grass!) is taking place this year from July 1 to 14, with qualifying rounds taking place from June 24 to 27. Last year saw Carlos Alcaraz and Markéta Vondroušová win the top singles prizes.
This year’s tournament is sure to be as exciting as ever, and tennis fans won’t want to miss a moment of the action. Even if you don’t have cable, you won’t have to miss out, because live TV streaming services have all the channels you need to keep up with all the matches. Ahead, find out how to watch Wimbledon this year.
Wimbledon will air on several different channels. While the qualifying rounds will all be available on the streaming platform ESPN Plus, the rest of the tournament will be available on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC and Tennis Channel.

If you opt for DIRECTV STREAM’s Choice plan, you’ll have all the channels you need to stream Wimbledon. With Choice and above, you get ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and Tennis Channel. DIRECTV STREAM’s base plan, Entertainment, doesn’t include Tennis Channel. Within DIRECTV STREAM’s channel selection, sports fans will also find NBA TV, Big Ten Network, ESPNU, FS1 and more.
DIRECTV STREAM also offers unlimited Cloud DVR. You might want to take advantage of that during those early match times during Wimbledon so you can catch up later in the day. Recordings will only be stored for nine months, though. You’ll also be able to stream on 20 devices on your home network, so there’s little worry about not being able to get on the account.
Opting for Fubo’s Elite plan gets you the channels you need to stream Wimbledon. That plan includes ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and Tennis Channel. While there are cheaper Fubo plans, the Essential and the Pro plan they don't include Tennis Channel. Fubo also offers sports fans plenty of other channels within its huge lineup, including ACC Network, Golf Channel, Motortrend and more.
You’ll also get unlimited Cloud DVR with Fubo to record any matches you can’t watch in real-time. Fubo lets you keep your recordings as long as you want. You can also simultaneously stream on 10 devices on your home network.
Hulu + Live TV is the only streaming service that will actually give you everything you need to watch all the Wimbledon matches all in one place. A Hulu + Live TV subscription includes content from ESPN Plus and Disney Plus (as long as you opt for the Disney Bundle, which is the default.) As some Wimbledon matches are streaming on ESPN Plus, this makes this option the best one, because Hulu + Live TV’s channel lineup also includes ABC, ESPN and ESPN2. The sports add-on will get you Tennis Channel, rounding out the channels.
As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also get all of Hulu’s on-demand library in your subscription, which is tons of movies and TV shows to enjoy. Plus, a subscription includes unlimited Cloud DVR and two simultaneous streams.
Sling TV is a budget-friendly, customizable sports streaming service that includes the necessary channels for Wimbledon at a much lower price point than any of the other options here. ESPN and ESPN2 are included on Sling Orange. ABC is included on Sling Blue, but only in some markets across the country. Tennis Channel is part of the Sports Extra add-on. To get everything, you’d need Sports Orange & Blue, plus the add-on. You’d then also get to enjoy ESPNEWS, MLB Network, NBA TV and more.
Sling TV’s package options and channel selection are definitely smaller than other streaming services, but you will save money each month in comparison to other streamers. You’ll get 50 hours of Cloud DVR with your subscription, which you can increase to 200 hours for a nominal fee.
YouTube TV has more than 100+ channels to enjoy, including ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 — just what you’ll need for Wimbledon. To get Tennis Channel, you’ll need Sports Plus, which also includes PlayersTV, NFL RedZone, FanDuel TV and more. YouTube TV’s other sports channels include FS1, Motortrend, NBA TV and many more.
YouTube TV also offers unlimited Cloud DVR and three simultaneous streams in the household.
With an ESPN Plus subscription you can stream the qualifying rounds of Wimbledon. You can also catch plenty of round-the-clock tennis action during the tournament, as well as other sports content all year round. If you opt for a Hulu + Live TV subscription, you get ESPN Plus included.
