YouTube TV is one of the newer streaming services on the market — launched in 2017. The streamer, which is geared toward sports fans, offers a plethora of sports channels that can be enjoyed by everyone. With news channels, movie channels, family-friendly networks and more, YouTube TV has a little something for everyone.

YouTube TV is one of the simplest streamers to navigate, especially when it comes to subscribing. Ahead, we’ll get into everything you need to know about what it offers, how to subscribe and more.

What packages does YouTube TV offer?

YouTube TV has just one package available for subscribers, which makes it the simplest streaming service on the market. It’s straightforward and doesn’t make anything complicated for customers when it comes to selecting what you want from the beginning. It’s competitive in the market as well.

YouTube TV's Base Plan

YouTube TV’s Base Plan is the only one it offers (other than a Spanish plan with a selection of Spanish channels). Unlike other live TV streaming services, YouTube is a streamlined service in that it doesn’t do tiered packages with higher price points and more channels. For $82.99, customers get just over 100 channels in an ad-supported package. You’ll also get three simultaneous streams and an unlimited cloud DVR.

YouTube TV is a well-ro unded streaming service with channels that cater to everyone. There are plenty of news, sports, movies, lifestyle and entertainment channels, including some that are harder to find on other streaming services. Local channels are included, though YouTube TV is thin on regional sports networks.

While most households would be content with a YouTube TV subscription, sports lovers would be especially pleased with what’s on offer, considering the special features and enhanced viewing, like Stats View and Key Plays view that take your games to the next level. You won’t get that anywhere else.

What channels does YouTube TV offer?

YouTube offers more than 100 channels for subscribers to enjoy. It has a wide variety that spans news, sports, movies, family-friendly content and more. Not only will you get the local channels like ABCCBS and NBC, but you’ll also get sports channels including ESPN, ESPN2 and Motortrend and premium sports networks like NBA TV and SEC Network, which often require an upcharge. Entertainment networks include The CW, VH1, MTV, Nickelodeon, FX and many more.

Is YouTube TV worth it?

YouTube TV is extremely competitive when you’re looking at all the streaming services in the market. It has a very fair price for the number of channels on offer (especially when looking at the sports networks), and it offers unlimited DVR. Sports fans would love this streaming service and should strongly consider a subscription to keep up with their favorite teams. YouTube TV is a great option for all entertainment lovers, though!
