TEMPE — Three-star EDGE class of 2026 Julian Hugo has committed to Arizona State University, marking its 10th commitment in its 2026 recruiting class.
Hugo, from Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas, had over 25 offers until he announced he was heading to Tempe on X account.
“I’m home,” he wrote, confirming his commitment.
The linebacker spoke with Rivals about his decision, noting the culture ASU football has been building over the years. Hugo felt welcomed by the players as if he was one of them.

“My family also loved everything that Arizona State had to offer,” he said. “No other school stood out to me as much as Arizona State.”
As a junior last year, Hugo accumulated 83 tackles with 21 tackles for loss. He also recorded 30 quarterback hurries.
The commitment comes after No.88 prospect out of Texas, Marques Uini, also confirmed his arrival to ASU. Both players add to the “Poly Pipeline,” in which ASU has embraced solidifying a culture around the Polynesian community in its football program.
