Aireontae Ersery is an upcoming NFL draft prospect, and soon enough, he'll hear his name being called, where he'll find out where he will begin his NFL journey. Ersery spent all four years of his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota with the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

However, he was born in Kansas City and recently interviewed with Harold R. Kuntz from FOX4 News. He was asked about how he felt about potentially being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was one of the Chiefs' top 30 prospects to visit with them before the draft, and he has been linked to them before in mock drafts.

Lance Zierlein wrote Ersery's NFL draft profile and it states,

"Three-year starter at left tackle with good power. Ersery is not a natural bender, which creates disadvantages with leverage and when attempting to mirror moving fronts. He’s well-versed in Minnesota’s outside zone attack, but might be more consistent in power, inside zone and hat-on-hat matchups.

He’s huge, but he sets with good quickness to the rush, using his length and hand strength to gather it or lock it out. His anchor is derived from his upper half, which opens him to hand counters. Ersery has the potential to become an average starting tackle on the right side, but his success will be tied to matchups across from him".

Ersery produced splendid results at the NFL Combine, displaying his rare combination of speed and size. He ran the 40-yard dash in 5.01 seconds, which was the sixth-best time among offensive linemen in this year's draft class.

As a native of Kansas City, it would be an incredible story for him to remain close to home, and it doubles as him filling in a position of need, as the Chiefs need to sort out their offensive line before they're ready to compete for another Super Bowl.

As good as Ersery is, he'd still be available for them in the second round. That opens up room for them to use the 31st overall pick on another prospect, such as Mason Taylor, which will prepare them for when Travis Kelce retires.
