WNBA star Angel Reese cemented herself as one of the league's biggest names during her rookie season.

Reese, who was selected by the Chicago Sky with the No. 7 overall pick, finished second in Rookie of the Year rankings behind Caitlin Clark during the 2024 season and was named a WNBA All-Star.

She's widely regarded as one of the league's biggest stars on and off the court, boasting over nine million combined followers across social media platforms Instagram, X and TikTok.

Amid Reese's rising popularity, Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant gave a subtle shoutout to the Sky forward.

When asked about his favorite female athlete, Durant quickly said, "Angel Reese."

During her rookie season with the Sky, Reese averaged 13.6 points and a league-best 13.1 rebounds per game. She was the only rookie to average a double-double.

Reese led the Chicago Sky to a 13-27 record, ranked as the No. 10 team in the WNBA standings. Chicago struggled late in the season, when Reese was nursing a wrist injury, capping off the year losing eight of its last 10 games.

Durant, who is also widely regarded as one of the best players in his respective league, is having a quality season for the Suns.

While Phoenix sits at No. 11 in the Western Conference standings with a 28-33 record, Durant has averaged 26.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
