The Seattle Orcas are well-represented in the USA squad for the upcoming North American Cup, with six of their top players selected to compete. The squad is a dynamic mix of seasoned professionals and emerging talent.
Jasdeep Singh, also the Vice-Captain of the squad, is a key figure in the Orcas’ lineup. The right-arm pacer from Queens, New York, is renowned for his sharp bowling and ability to strike at crucial moments. After successful seasons with MI New York and Washington Freedom, Singh is back in MLC Season 3 with the Orcas, ready to lead both on and off the field.
Joining him is Rahul Jariwala, a 20-year-old right-handed batter and wicketkeeper from Fremont, California. Jariwala’s inclusion in the USA squad marks his debut in MLC.
Aaron Jones, an experienced top-order batter, adds depth and versatility to the Orcas. Jones has played over 40 international T20Is and amassed over 1,000 runs. Known for his adaptability, Jones can play both the anchor role and take the game to the opposition with aggressive strokes. His leg-break bowling is an added weapon, making him one of the most well-rounded players in the squad.
Shayan Jahangir, an aggressive right-handed batter and wicketkeeper, is another powerful addition. Jahangir, who hails from Karachi, Pakistan, has established himself as a dominant T20 player.
Ali Sheikh, a left-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler, has shown his class in Minor League Cricket. Sheikh brings more than 400 runs and 30 wickets to the table, and his all-around abilities such as sharp fielding.
Finally, Ayan Desai, a promising left-arm pacer, rounds off the Orcas' lineup. With an economy rate under 8 in Minor League Cricket, Desai’s ability to control the game with the ball has been proven.
